By combining the proven strengths of an Overhead Roll and Fold™ boom with the agility of a Z-boom layout, the RZ5 design delivers outstanding jobsite flexibility across a wide range of placements.
This Generation 3 open-loop, all-hydraulic pump is built for efficient fuel use, dependable performance, and consistent output. A twin-circuit hydraulic system paired with long-stroke pumping cylinders produces smooth, uninterrupted concrete flow that supports more controlled placement and extended boom service life. The Big Rock Valve is engineered to move demanding mix designs while helping keep cost per yard to a minimum.
Patented Vector Controls create true two-way communication between the operator and the pump. Key operating information is shown live at the remote control and automatically saved in the controller, making it easy to review data when needed.
The S 52 SX shows up with the same game-changing presence that made the original KVM 52 a global favorite. At the heart of it is Schwing’s new RZ5 boom, a five-section design that blends the strengths of an overhead roll and fold style layout with the jobsite flexibility of a Z boom. Need more reach at the end of the line?
Schwing places the Z geometry where it matters most, at the tip, to unlock the biggest advantages for placement. The tip section offers 270 degrees of articulation, paired with 180 degrees of working range in the main section, giving operators exceptional positioning control. The overhead roll-and-fold capability also helps keep the main section angled away from the pour while the tip section threads over and under obstacles, extending reach deeper into structures and tighter spaces.
With a combined 990 degrees of total articulation, these booms are built to reach up, out, over, and under with confidence. Vertical reach is up to 170 feet 7 inches on the S 52 SX. For slab and deck pours, horizontal reach extends to 158 feet with the S 52 SX, helping crews cover more area from a single setup.
